As you can see from the different images, there are many ways to read a book. I tried to switch from books to e-books years ago, but I love books, its smell, its pages.... Finally, I sold my e-book.
I have been a compulsive reader since I was very young. At school forced me to read books that I didn't find interesting, even I hated them. Whwn I had to do some work about those books, I looked for the films to do it. My love of reading started when I began to read all the books that there was at home, that it was very much. In this way, I discovered what genre I liked so much. I love mystery books.
I have mixed feelings about the pictures. On one hand ,I can see and enormous library in which there are people reading comfortably in armchairs, and at the end of the room there are people studyng. So, we can find readers for fun and, at the same time, forced readers.
At school, students have to read, normally, books that have been chosen by the teachers, so they have to read obliged. I know that teacher do it with their best intention, but, as a teacher. I think that children must choose and read a book that they like them, and they have tome at school to read them. We have to encourage that learners read for fun, for this reason we have to choose their own readings.
I think that people have to read for pleasure, like the man who is shown reading on a break from work or the woman reading in her e-book. When you really like reading and a book hooks you, you try to read it at any time, even on train journeys, as we can see in another image.
As for my reading habits, I love read in Spanish. I always have read mystery/ crime books, but now I also read self-help books and teaching books like neuroscience, cooperative learning, and so on. I also read some books in English, especially teaching books. I force myself to read some books in English, as
I know it has many benefits. As I
mentioned at the beginning, Ialways read "paper" books.
Finally, I try to read at the weekend, but it is true that in summer I always read much more.
Hello,
ResponderEliminarI have enjoyed your project about Women's Day using Timetoast.
I found it a wonderful tool to sequence events, as we need to do in biographies. I think it is also necessary to remind students the deeds of some relevant women, so that they become aware of the importance of their facts years ago as well as nowadays.
I encourage you to try the different tools we have had the opportunity to know during the course.
Thank you!
